Brandon Choi is the Chief Operating Officer of CJ 4DPLEX Americas and is responsible for leading the continued expansion of the company’s immersive 4DX and ScreenX cinema technology throughout North, Central and South America as well as the remaining Latin American regions.
As COO, Mr. Choi plays a key role in securing partnerships with film studios and leading cinema exhibition companies to bring new technology and innovations into theaters, enhancing the traditional film viewing experience. Furthermore, he is deeply involved with all aspects of the 4DX and ScreenX businesses, including but not limited to: business development, studio relations, creative editing, marketing and technical operations.
Most recently, Mr. Choi helped lead an expansion agreement with Regal Cinemas that will quadruple the number of 4DX auditoriums in the U.S. by the end of 2018. Additionally, he was integral in finalizing a deal with Cineplex that successfully brought the first 4DX auditorium to Canada. Today, Mr. Choi is focused on bringing people back into the theaters, and away from their couches, with 4DX.
Prior to this role, Mr. Choi was chief sales and marketing officer for CJ 4DPLEX in South Korea where he led business development and marketing efforts. He joined the CJ family after more than three years as VP of marketing at Seoul based insurance company AIA. Prior to that, he held senior marketing and analyst positions at LG Electronics, General Motors and Hyundai.
